Christmas Eve Service
Join us for our annual Christmas Eve Service hosted by our new pastor: Dr. Rudy Ramphal If you are not familiar with this tradition an summary is written below: A Christmas Eve Service is a heartfelt celebration that brings together the community to honor the birth of Jesus Christ. Held on the evening of December 24th, the service often begins with a warm welcome into a beautifully decorated sanctuary filled with greenery, lights, and a Nativity scene. The service includes scripture readings that recount the story of Christ’s birth, interspersed with traditional carols such as Silent Night and Joy to the World, performed by the congregation, choirs, or instrumentalists. A central feature is the pastor’s inspiring sermon, focusing on themes of hope, peace, and the profound meaning of Christmas. One of the most cherished moments is the candlelight ceremony, where the flame from the Christ candle is shared among attendees, symbolizing the spread of Christ’s light in the world. The sanctuary glows softly as hymns are sung, creating a deeply reflective atmosphere. The evening concludes with a prayer or blessing, sending everyone home filled with joy, peace, and the true spirit of Christmas. It is a time of worship, fellowship, and cherished tradition that resonates with attendees of all ages.
